Red for Ed is built on a simple idea: when school employees stand together, they strengthen their ability to support one another and contribute to positive change in their schools.
Participation is easy, and every employee who joins helps build momentum for the campaign.
Step 1: Show Your Support
The easiest way to participate is to make Red for Ed visible in your school.
Participants can:
Wear red on designated Red for Ed days.
Wear a Red for Ed button on a shirt, jacket, lanyard, badge holder, or bag.
Participate in school-based Red for Ed activities and events.
Whether you're wearing red, wearing your button, or encouraging a colleague to join in, your participation helps demonstrate unity and support for stronger schools and stronger workplaces.
Wear Red. Wear Your Button. Stand Together.
Step 2: Encourage Others
Red for Ed is most effective when employees participate together.
Invite a colleague to wear red. Encourage a teammate to wear their button. Help create a visible sense of unity within your school.
Every additional participant helps strengthen the culture of support and engagement that Red for Ed is designed to build.
Step 3: Stay Connected
Throughout the campaign, participants will receive updates, opportunities for involvement, and information about upcoming activities.
As Red for Ed grows, employees will have additional opportunities to engage with colleagues, share ideas, and help shape future efforts.
Recognition and Appreciation
Participation is its own reward, but we also want to recognize those who help make Red for Ed successful.
Throughout the campaign, participants may receive appreciation items and other forms of recognition as a thank-you for their involvement and commitment.
As the campaign progresses, additional opportunities for recognition and larger participation incentives may be announced.
The focus of Red for Ed is not on prizes. It is on building connections, strengthening employee engagement, and creating a visible culture of solidarity across our schools.
Building Participation Matters
One employee wearing red makes a statement.
An entire school wearing red makes an impact.
Red for Ed is designed to encourage employees to participate together, support one another, and build stronger connections within their schools.
As participation grows, schools demonstrating strong involvement may be recognized for their efforts to build employee engagement and solidarity.
We believe lasting improvements happen when employees connect with one another, share common goals, and work together toward solutions.
Growing the Movement
Red for Ed is beginning with a small group of participating schools.
This initial phase allows us to learn what works best, strengthen participation, and build a foundation for future growth.
As the campaign develops, we hope to expand participation to additional schools and employees across the district.
Every person who participates during these early stages helps shape the future of Red for Ed and demonstrates what can be accomplished when employees work together.
Our Goal
Our goal is simple:
Build stronger connections among employees, strengthen engagement within schools, and promote the kind of workplace culture that helps educators and staff choose to stay, grow, and succeed.
When schools retain dedicated employees, students benefit from greater stability, stronger relationships, and a more consistent learning environment. Through Red for Ed, we're working together to support the people who make our schools successful every day.
